We are delighted that St. Barnabas Church in Cambridge are hosting GG18. Anne Maclaurin, UK Chair of Guardians, serves there as Vicar. The facilities are very nice and the city of Cambridge is really worth a visit during summer time.
The GG18 team have been working to pull together a great programme for our gathering. We're planning for lots of social time and sessions full of praise, power and Holy Spirit. So far the programme looks like this.
BRING YOUR KIDS & YOUTH
Programmes for kids and young people will take place during most meetings, as well as some all-together time. We are a family on mission and hope to have many kids and young people joining us. Make GG18 a family event and pass TOM DNA to the next generation.
THE RULE OF TOM
During our gathering we will process the Rule of TOM. Senior Guardian, Keld Dahlmann, will send out a first draft before the gathering so that we can collectively reflect on our spiritual practices as TOM members.
Cambridge is close to the international Stansted Airport. From there you can take the train directly to Cambridge (1/2 hour). You can also travel by train easily from London.
Accommodation is not included in the ticket. July is a busy season in Cambridge so please book soon e.g on booking.com.
We have exclusively booked a nearby youth hostel which is some of the cheapest accommodation in central Cambridge that weekend, and is a 5 minute walk from both St. Barnabas Church and Cambridge Rail Station.
The hostel has 126 beds and is especially suitable for people and families with high travelling expenses or people who have a tight budget.
The rooms can be booked when you book for GG18. The cost will be around £37 per person per night which includes a cooked breakfast; there will be the option to pay a deposit and then pay the final balance at a later date to enable people to save up.
If money is tight and your budget doesn't allow you to attend GG18 but you really want to come, we might be able to help you. Please feel free to contact us!
If you are able to give £10 to enable someone else to come you can do that when booking your ticket.
